We recommend to view this site using a screen resolution of at least 1024x768 px to achieve a comfortable navigation. Due to sound- and video samples, some pages might take a few seconds to load. Further technical advice is available by checking our answers to Frequently Asked Questions.
In our Drums-section, you can find out what a drumset consists of. Also other percussion instruments are presented there with pictures and sound samples.
Because of large file sizes of provided media content, you
might experience that they take a while to load, but it
should be worth the wait. Feel free to click on the shown
instruments, that way you will most likely get an idea about
what they sound like.
Our Drummers-chapter
is about different more or less famous drummers of different
countries and musical styles. Drummers are introduced with
short biographies, pictures, and movies.
For further information regarding the presented drummers, their pages are provided with external links to their official websites, fan-sites etc.
If you would like to link to your own contents, you have the chance to do so in our Guestbook.
In our Tutorial, you can find exercises
of different skill levels to practise and play along. They are meant to be
structured like a course, starting with beginner-level and then getting
more and more difficult. Exercises are illustrated with notes and a sound sample-bar
underneath them.
In our Downloads-section, you can find free downloadable content like notes and sound files of our exercises. Also, blank music paper in differtent styles and formats is available there.
In the Rhythmz-chapter,
different rhythm styles are exemplified, using sound samples
and explanations. We might publish your self-made sound
files, if you send some in. Browsing through our Links,
you should find other interesting websites about percussion
and music, and links to useful software.
